The run up to Christmas is usually a very busy time, and this year
was no exception.
There were days when it seemed to be non-stop, and we were either
answering the phone, being summonsed to the shop or making up gift
packs to meet the high demand.
Although very busy (which I much prefer) it is a nice time, when
you can solve that last minute panic by having that ideal Christmas
present at hand!

Jane shows off the vouchers
that caused the pre-Christmas office furore |
A lot of the time was spent explaining all the different days we
offer, which either resulted in the customer requesting more information
to be posted so they could think about it, or actually making a purchase,
depending on the powers of persuasion!
Friendly rivalry ensued between the office staff to see who could
sell the most vouchers, but I think all in all we came out even, and
you could guarantee that each day Ashley would be in to see how we
had done, and how many we had sold.
By the time Christmas Eve arrived, it had all quietened down, the
phones placed on answer-phone, with appropriate messages and the office
closed down until the New Year.
After a good Christmas break, it was back to work, looking forward
to taking all those bookings!
