Jane the barmaid at members' evening

When we closed at the end of October, I felt somewhat cosseted. The till and card machine had been temporarily installed in the office which meant I didn’t have to face the cold and wet to process the takings. Mind you I could have done with the exercise after all the Christmas indulgence!

Over the winter period we were joined by Jemma in the office. This was a great help during the run up to Christmas (although we had to endure the wedding talk!)

Since my last Accipiter article, apart from the usual office duties, I have once again manned the drinks table for Member’s Night in September, and doubled as a ghost for Halloween. This was my first attempt at “Spooking,” and it was a fun evening... Anyone who has not experienced the ghostly goings on of Halloween, doesn’t know what they are missing! The flying display at the end of the evening is just magical.

I am now looking forward to the year ahead; with all the changes within the park it is very exciting.
