Hospital Update - Index

In the June 2005 issue, we see Tawny Owl chicks, a Red Kite, a White-tailed Sea Eagle and a trio of Great Grey Owl chicks. In the July 2005 issue, we see more Tawny Owl chicks, Little Owl and Kestrel chicks, a Milky Eagle Owl, more from the Great Grey Owl chicks - and a late new arrival!.
In the August 2005 issue, the Tawny Owl chicks are almost ready to go, the Great Grey Owl chicks have gone, a weak Peregrine, and the new arrival is growing! In the September 2005 issue, Little Owl chicks, Red Kites and a European Eagle Owl - and a late new arrival!.
In the October 2005 issue, Tawny and Barn Owls, Sparrowhawks, Kestrels, a Red Kite, a couple of our own birds - and a sad departure. In the November 2005 issue, more Owls, Sparrowhawks and Kestrels, a couple of our own birds and don't they grow!
In the December 2005 issue, more Owls and Kestrels, a couple of our own birds and the end of an era - Widgeon is no more! In the January 2006 issue, Parsnip has trouble eating, more owls and a buzzard, and the Red Kites go free!
In the February 2006 issue, Trevor is cold and not eating, more owls, five kestrels, and a buzzard. In the March 2006 issue, Goose has blocked sinuses, one of the Red Backed Hawks has a leg infection, and some new arrivals.
In the April 2006 issue, a number of owls, kestrels and buzzrds, plus a Red Kite, Snowy Owl, Bert and Madeleine. In the May 2006 issue, an unusually quiet month with a buzzard, three Barn Owls and a Tawny Owl.
In the June 2006 issue, a Tawny Owl, a Little Owl, a Sparrowhawk, a Buzzard and Beamish. In the July 2006 issue, Tawny Owl chicks, new arrivals and a number of wild birds that couldn't be saved.
In the August 2006 issue, Buzzards, Tawny Owls, Kestrels, Little Owls, a Peregrine Falcon than fell out of a church tower and a couple of very special new arrivals. In the September 2006 issue, a Tawny Owl, Kestrels, Buzzards and a Siberian Eagle Owl.

In the December 2006 issue, Tawny Owls and Kestrels, Sparrowhawk and Barn Owls - and a few of our own birds (Galaxy, Sirius and Coll). In the January 2007 issue, Barn and Tawny Owls, Kestrels, a Sparrowhawk and a Hobby. Sirius and Galaxy are still off sick, but Coll is back in his aviary

In the April 2007 issue, six wild birds and some of our own birds. Bottom has a sore on her side/back(?) In the May 2007 issue another six wild birds plus some releases and our Gyrfalcon has a bad foot.
In the June 2007 issue another six wild birds plus owls, owls and more owls!. In the July 2007 issue twelve wild birds including two young Peregrine Falcons.
In the August 2007 issue owls, kestrels, buzzards, sparrohawks and even an escaped Eagle Owl - and some new chicks. In the September 2007 issue wild owls and kestrels, a few of our birds and we hit 100 wild birds admitted in 2007.

In the December 2007 issue, Barn Owls, Tawny Owl and a Little Owl; Buzzards, Kestrels and Sparrowhawks - and our Malaysian Wood Owl and Bateleur Eagle. In the January 2008 issue, Barn Owls and a Little Owl; Buzzards and Kestrels - and the return of an old friend.
In the February 2008 issue, the cold, wet and windy weather means a lot of work for the Hospital. Baby Burrowing Owl being fed In the March 2008 issue, a quet month - six new arrivals and the first hatching of 2008.
In the April 2008 issue, Barn, Tawny and Long- and Short-eared Owls; Sparrow hawks, Buzzards and Kestrels - and that's just the wild stuff. In the May 2008 issue, eleven wild birds, and Madeleine is improving.
In the June 2008 issue, twenty-one wild birds, including a number of chicks and some of our own young. In the July 2008 issue, thirty-six wild birds, young and older, some more of our own young and a Red-backed Hawk.
In the August 2008 issue, twenty-two wild birds plus sixteen Tawny Owls in pre-release. More of our own birds - young and not so young. In the September 2008 issue, nineteen wild birds plus our own young birds are growing up, and Mace is improving.
