Monthly Diary - January 2007

New RSPCA inspectors attended a one day training course at the Trust

RSPCA training dayThe second of the RSPCA courses took place at the Trust, this time the students were accompanied by a reporter and a photographer from the RSPCA magazine. This will feature as an article in their members newletter later in 2007.

 

Students on Sparsholt gamekeeper's course gave a day's help to the Trust.
10th Jan

Isis PR company met with Trust managers to discuss PR campaigns for 2007.

15th Jan
Red Letter Days representive mets with Trust managers and Trustees to agree proposals for the Trust to run experience sessions for them.
16th Jan
Basingstoke College of Technology attended a one day course on raptor management at the Trust. 
23rd Jan
All Trust staff attend a Fire awareness and fire extinguisher training session at the Trust. A fire risk assessment is carried out on all the Trust buildings.
25th Jan

First Trustees' meeting of 2007.

26th Jan
All Trust First Aiders attended an in-house training session on child and baby resuscitation.

Work carried on around the grounds in preparation for the 2007 season. The study centre balcony is now complete, and two new french doors give access from the main corporate room. The Trust shop has been painted, and new fittings and fixtures ordered to diplay the new stock. The mixed african aviary is completed and the hooded vultures and yellow billed kites have settled into their new home. The roof has now been fitted onto the Steller's Sea Eagle aviary, and work has begun on lanscaping a pond area. Two new turkey vultures and a new falcon called Charlie Brown arrived to become part of the flying team, and training started with some of the existing team to get them fit for the new season.
