Trust staff at a glance

Ashley Smith Chief Executive
In overall charge of the day to day running of all aspects of the Trusts and implementation of the Trustees policies.
Andy Hinton Curator
Responsible for all the bird staff, stock and Trust grounds and facilities.
Campbell Murn Chief Scientific Officer
Responsible for all the Trust's conservation and research programmes both in the UK and overseas. Represents the Trust at scientific and conservation conferences around the world. Collates data from research programmes.
Anya Rodgers Financial Manager
Responsible for all the Trust's financial matters including Gift Aid; maintaining personnel records and supervising the Trust shop.
Tracey Smith Sales and Marketing Manager
Responsible for all the Trust's advertising, publicity and printed material. Also maintains the Membership scheme and Friends scheme, produces Hawk Talk, and acts as contact for any corporate events held at the Trust.
Jane Baugh Trust Secretary
The woman that holds the Trust office together! Responsible for all the Trust's office needs, and shares telephone answering and course booking with all the other managers in the office. Maintains the Sponsorship scheme.
Jemma Benton Catering Manager
Responsible for the management of Duffy's Coffee Shop,all catering outlets around the Trust and all corporate catering needs. Jemma is supported by a loyal team of part time assistants.
Sonia Unicombe Trust Shop Manager
Responsible for the Trust shop, stock purchasing and shop display, Trust admissions, and course bookings. Sonia is assisted by Keith, Phil, Hazel and Clive and additional part help staff.
Gary Benton Assistant Curator
Assists Andy in the day to day issues involving Trust staff, birds and grounds. Responsible for maintaining and co-ordinating the flying displays at the Trust. Flies birds in display and hosts courses.
Sam Hunt Assistant Curator/ Scientific Officer
Assists Andy in the day to day issues involving Trust staff, birds and grounds. Sam also assists Campbell in the conservation and research programmes and is currently maintaining the Fund-a-bird nest box scheme.
Mike Riley Senior Falconer
Mike is responsible for the Trust's flying team and maintaining their health and fitness. Also responsible for Hilary's Bird of Prey Hospital and the rehabilitation of injured birds of prey. Flies birds in display and hosts courses.
Jane Robertson Senior Falconer
Jane is also the Trust's Registrar and is responsible for maintaining all of the records and databases of the Trust's birds. Joint co-ordinator of the Trust's work experience students. Flies birds in display and hosts Trust courses.
Paul Betchley Falconer
Responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses. Paul has a special interest in the education programme at the Trust and helps to run training courses and out reach school visits.
Gareth Tonen Falconer
Responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses. Gareth has a special interest in maintenance and anything mechanical, so is called upon to help on building projects and maintaining the Trust's vehicles.
Kim Kirkbride Falconer
Responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses. Kim is also the Health and Safety and Fire officer at the Trust and is responsible for all issues relating to both subjects and for maintaining the records required.
Cédric Robert Falconer
Responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses. Cédric also assists Jane with the work experience programme.
James Robinson Falconer
Responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses. James is very interested in our education programme and works on our outreach programme. He also put together the syllabus for the children's experience days as well as being the host on most of them.
  Richard Hennessey Falconer (part time)
Partly responsible for a section at the Trust, flies birds in display and is a host on courses.
Clive Chester Information Assistant
Clive assists with the collection of Gift Aid on the Trust admissions, and as an information officer for all aspects of the Trust. On weekends and holidays Clive maintains an information desk and helps to recruit new members to the Trust. Also assists in the Trust shop when needed.
Phil Gifford Janitorial services
Apart from Ashley, Phil is the longest serving member of the Trust staff and is responsible for all the Trust's janitorial needs.
